Background.- There are several reports regarding the rapid resolution of acute epidural hematoma. There are some possible mechanisms may involve in these cases. A 2 year old girl fell from a height and Children Coma Score was 15/15. CT scan revealed a linear fracture on the temporal bone and a right side temporoparietal acute epidural hematoma. The patient was observed in the clinic and control CT scan revealed disappearance of hematoma in the posttraumatic 12th hour.
Observation.- Evidence of a fracture in the rare cases of acute epidural hematoma can lead rapid resolution of epidural hematoma with an increase in the size of scalp hematoma.
